PSD.Tuts+ is where I started to learn everything. There are of course other website with very instructive tutorials. If I may suggest you a few:

The basics:

To learn the power of the layer styles:

Then there's the photo blending and more advanced stuff:

Once you master photoshop, you can start to move to higher stuff, read cases studies ([link]), learn about composition ([link]) and learn from the masters ([link])
