Received my third DD this morning! Always a pleasant surprise to log in into DeviantArt and seeing that much activity. A big thanks to Johan Briend for the suggestion! Kudos to you and every follower for the big support!
Hello there! Some of you might wonder what I've been doing lately. I was away from DA for a quite a while because I had alot going on in my life. But good news: you can expect some new matte and awesome digital art from me in the following months.

Meanwhile, enjoy this diablo 3 text effect tutorial!…
For those who are interested!…

Larger & improved version coming to my deviantart eventually.
Hey hey! Just a quick journal update to wish you all a merry Christmas and a happy New Year! I hope you are all going to enjoy the holydays as much as I will!

As for me, I got many big projects for 2012 so I don't know if I will be able to make a lot of deviation/tutorials before this summer. I plan on having my Behance and a website online this year, and I'll probably give my DeviantArt a little makeover!
Hey, small update to let you guys know that I won the contest! A huge thanks for all the vote!
Hey everyone. I am finalist for webicon contest for Mononews. If you want, you could go there… and vote for me! It only takes two seconds, and it gives me the chance to win $2500 (which would be rrrrreeally welcomed at this time!). My name is Tony Aube.

Good news!

A tutorial on how I did Awaiting Summer is now up on Psd. Tut+!

It is a two part tutorial, which you can find here:……

The second part is for premium members so you would need to subscribe in order to see it.

Because if you are interested in concept art and matte painting, you should. Not much for the quality of the VFX but for the genious imagination behind the ''otherworld'' scenes. It just seems to me that any of these scenes would make trendoumous acclaim here on deviantart, if they ever were to be posted.

Anyway, Michael Pangrazio, one of the main art director for Avatar, did the conceptual work for those scenes. You can read his toughts on the movie along with examples of his methods… (here). A definitive must-see! What amaze me even more is that he can barely hand draw, and praticely never paint in his matte paintings. He just use tousands of pictures from the web and mix them together. Speaking of this, the sharp-eyed french canadians out here will probably recognize the Chateau Frontenac in one of the winter scene!

Whetever it is… (a tree witch blown leaves morph into flying bird) or… (a dreamish day and night beach scene), this movie WILL blow your imagination away.

As a teaser, you can see the movie concept art… (here).
Changed my account. I will be sticking with matte painting and photomanipulation on this one.
